LITEON+ Demo Day 2026: Bringing Global Startups Together Around Edge AI

LITEON Technology (2301) held the third LITEON+ Demo Day on April 23 at its Neihu headquarters in Taipei. Under the theme “Artistry in Alliance”, LITEON+ highlighted that in a fast-changing and highly uncertain environment, value creation is no longer driven by a single company. Instead, the importance of alliances continues to grow. When platforms, industrial partners, and technologies converge, innovation emerges between people, and between humans and machines. Through this process, value is co-created, and the spirit of innovation continues to thrive.

This year, LITEON+ sharpened its focus on Edge AI, reflecting the growing demand for faster processing, energy efficiency, and autonomous systems. The event brought together startups, industrial partners, and enterprise representatives from multiple countries, with exhibition zones covering AI chips, thermal sensing, power conversion, and Agentic AI.

Six Global Startups, Real-World Solutions

Six startup teams from the United States, South Korea, Denmark and Taiwan took the stage, each addressing practical challenges in manufacturing, energy, and AI infrastructure.

·femtoAI (U.S.) — Founded by Stanford University Silicon Lab researchers, femtoAI builds sparse processing units based on neuromorphic computing, allowing AI models to run at a fraction of typical power and hardware requirements.
·Ambient Scientific (U.S.) — Develops ultra-low-power AI processors that keep edge computing performance high without sacrificing battery life.
· Skycore Semiconductors (Denmark) — Focuses on advanced power conversion chips, including 800V HVDC solutions built for the demands of AI data centers.
· Gwanak Analog (South Korea) — Provides analog and power SoC solutions for industrial control, telecom, automotive, and related applications.
· Obsidian (U.S.) — Makes high-end thermal imaging more accessible through cost-effective sensing solutions with strong potential for broad commercial adoption.
· Tricuss (Taiwan) — Offers an enterprise-grade, on-premise AI agent platform helping semiconductor and manufacturing companies move faster through R&D and testing cycles.

Strengthening Global Ties and Expanding the Ecosystem

The event also welcomed LITEON+’s valued partners, Yuta Kuroda, Director of Deeptech at Plug and Play Japan, and Bob Chen, Partner at Mesh Ventures, who shared insights on connecting startups with the right markets, capital, and industrial partners, reflecting the spirit of “Artistry in Alliance” in action.

Yuta highlighted Taiwan's manufacturing strengths as well suited to Japan's growing focus on sustainability and next-generation computing. He also shared, based on his observations, LITEON has built a genuinely startup-friendly culture. Across leadership and business units, the company shows strong openness to engagement and collaboration with startups.

Bob also shared his insights on the collaboration. Through a thematic fund investment approach, MESH and LITEON+ jointly identify emerging technologies aligned with LITEON’s long-term strategic priorities. For startups, the value of LITEON+ extends far beyond financial support. Through close engagement with LITEON, they gain access to valuable industry networks, accelerating technology adoption and commercialization.

When AI Becomes a Collaborator, Not Just a Tool

The keynote was delivered by Professor Yow Wei Quin from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Her speech, "Tech and Humanity," focused on how individuals can embrace the new era of AI and develop the right mindset to co-create with emerging tech.

As AI takes over analytical and repetitive work, she pointed out that distinctly human skills—such as judgment, empathy, creativity, and a sense of responsibility—will become even more valuable. What makes people irreplaceable is their ability to think independently and make meaningful decisions.

Sustainability as a Standard

True to LITEON+'s ongoing sustainability commitments, environmental thinking shaped the event from booth design to programming, with an emphasis on lower energy use and reduced carbon output. This year, the event featured RHINOSHIELD's circular phone accessories as souvenirs. Made from a single material and fully recyclable, these items extend the spirit of sustainability into everyday life.

LITEON+: Turning collaboration into action

As the event concluded, Roger, Director of LITEON+, emphasized that Demo Day was not the end, but the beginning of deeper collaboration. Guided by the spirit of alliance, LITEON+ will continue to foster long-term partnerships across the ecosystem, bridging the company and startups to turn ideas into action.
