LITEON+ 2025 Demo Day Showcasing New Momentum in Sustainable Technologies

LITEON Technology (2301) held its LITEON+ 2025 Demo Day on May23rd. Continuing its core focus on sustainable development, the event brought together domestic and international startup ecosystems in Taipei, highlighting materials, AI applications, and sensing technologies, while showcasing collaboration results between LITEON and its startup partners.

As part of Demo Day, LITEON+ hosted an insightful forum featuring top partners from startup ecosystems in Germany and Japan: Infineon Co-Innovation Program, CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center), and Plug and Play Japan. These discussions explored how startups drive technological breakthroughs in established corporations and highlighted key considerations in selecting optimal collaboration. The forum also welcomed RHINOSHIELD CEO and Founder, Eric Wang, who shared cases involving the use of maritime drones and unmanned boats, exploring how technology can inject new momentum into sustainability initiatives.

Global Startups Collaborate to Create a New Era of Green Energy and Smart Technology

This year’s Demo Day welcomed seven startup teams from around the globe, covering diverse yet critical technology domains like low-carbon materials, sensing, and AI. Through partnerships with LITEON, these teams continue to advance practical applications of their technologies, bringing new vitality to an intelligent and sustainable future. The participating teams include:

· illumi (Singapore): They redefinesthe future of Human-AI collaboration. Moving beyond traditional chatboxinteractions, illumi's collaborative whiteboard makes the process of team work and AI integration seamless, transparent, and intuitive. With Illumi, team members can learn from each other while unlocking the full potential of AI. Thevision is to empower businesses not just with AI capabilities, but with thea daptive resilience to foster team-driven innovation for the future.
· MagikEye (USA): Their breakthrough Invertible Light™ technology generates high-speed 3D point cloud data with extremely low power consumption, significantly enhancing AI robots' perceptual capabilities for faster and more precise environmental awareness, revolutionizing the future possibilities ofintelligent robotics.
· JIVA Materials (UK): Soluboard® is JIVA’s natural fiber-based PCB laminate. It enables the fabrication of the RPCB®, Recyclable Printed Circuit Boards that are fully recyclable and biodegradable. This innovation reduces the carbon footprint by 67% compared to conventional PCBs and presents a scalable solution for sustainable electronics design and responsible e-waste management.

· Nanomade (France): They develops and industrializes ultra-sensitive strain sensors that allows any 3D object and any material to sense and generate data. This printed technology (ink containing nanoparticules) is based on quantum physics properties, which offers a level of performance hardly reached by other technologies today, and allows to detect in real-time micro-deformations and weak signals for HMI applications (electronic devices in metal, car interior, etc.), health monitoring (heart rate, stress, etc.) and critical structures surveillance (battery, buildings, etc.).
· Neotiq (Taiwan): Leveraging AI-driven IoV (Internet of Vehicles) solutions to enhance customized experiences, enabling automakers to boost after-sales revenue by 20% and create new value through data collaboration.
· Oculi (USA): IntelliPixel™ pushes compute into the silicon itself—every pixel in the OCULI Sensor & Processing Unit (SPU) includes on-pixel logic that pre-filters visual information in real time. The fully-programmable array outputs only sparse, context-relevant data for tasks such as object detection and tracking, reducing bandwidth, latency, and power while boosting accuracy for edge-side Vision AI.
· Elephantech (Japan): As a globalleader in transformative PCB manufacturing, Elephantech is setting new standardfor low-carbon production with its pioneering SustainaCircuits technology. During LITEON's inaugural Demo Day, Elephantech played an instrumental role in jointly championing sustainable mass production for FPC.This year the partnership has reached new heights with the signing of a MoU highlighting PCB equipment integration, aiming to accelerate transformation toward green electronics manufacturing and reinforcing both companies' commitment toward achieving net-zero emissions.

From Taiwan, Japan, and Germany: Cross-Industry Exchange on Innovation and Collaborative Success

In addition to showcasing diverse startup teams, this Demo Day features a panel discussion with LITEON+’s ecosystem partners, including the Infineon Co-Innovation Program, CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center), and Plug and Play Japan. The discussion explored how startups can empower enterprises with breakthrough technologies and the key considerations for companies in selecting talented startup collaborators. Panelists analyze the challenges and opportunities of integrating startup mindset within rapidly changing market environments.

Furthermore, the event invites RHINOSHIELD’s founder and CEO, Eric Wang, to share forward-looking initiative in plastic management and circular waste reduction. This included their latest solution – CircularBlueTM, which leverage collaboration between drones and unmanned boats to gather and filter floating debris fromcoastal waters. This solution highlights the potential of technology to address marine waste and environmental challenges through innovative approaches.
