A Technological Shift and the Spark of a Startup

“We didn’t start a company just for the sake of it—we did it because we saw a real problem that needed solving,” says Yu Wei, founder of Noetiq. It’s a simple statement, but one that captures the essence of their entrepreneurial journey.
The founding team came from the world’s leading provider of in-car voice software, with experience working alongside automakers like Mercedes-Benz. They knew firsthand the industry’s exacting standards for quality and trust. But everything shifted in late 2020 with the rise of GPT technology. Their once-solid foundation was suddenly shaken, raising a bold question: If the future of voice AI is no longer confined to closed systems, what does that mean for the future of connected vehicles?
That question became the seed of Noetiq. Based in Taiwan, the team drew on their deep industry expertise and understanding of automaker needs to create a practical solution for smart vehicle connectivity. The name “Noetiq” came from the Latin word Noetic, meaning intellect or intuitive insight. Replacing the “C” with a “Q” reflects their pursuit of uniqueness and modernity. It also represents their belief that technology isn’t just cold code, but something that can carry soul, beauty, and warmth.
Yu Wei and his co-founder first crossed paths in 2017 as product managers at Gogoro. Their shared experiences built a foundation of trust and collaboration that would later anchor their startup. The early days weren’t easy. With limited resources and plenty of skepticism, they forged a partnership with Taiwan Mobile to gain traction. That collaboration earned them their first clients and set the stage for growth.

Not Just a Workspace: The Inspiring Growth Story of Noetiq at LITEON+

Noetiq’s partnership with LITEON+ began with something simple: the need for a quiet place to work. But it quickly grew into one of the most pivotal chapters of their journey.
Initially, the team expected little—just a quiet space to focus. But they quickly discovered it was far more than a workspace; it was a place that listened, understood, and offered genuine support.
Each conversation with mentors, every chance to connect, helped the team sharpen their direction and build the confidence to face challenges head-on. What they found wasn’t just resources—it was a shift in mindset. They went from asking, “Can we do this?” to affirming, “We will do this.”
Through their time at LITEON+, the team learned how to tell their story more clearly and engage more effectively with the outside world. From refining pitch skills and fundraising strategies to communicating value in just a few words, every step made them stronger. They came to understand that collaboration isn’t a transaction. It’s a relationship. That mindset opened doors to potential clients and investors, and made the entrepreneurial journey feel far less lonely.
Sometimes, a simple question to a LITEON+ mentor sparked unexpected insights and direction. For a young startup still finding its footing, that kind of support proved invaluable.

From Taiwan to Southeast Asia: A Vision for Smart Mobility

Today, Noetiq has moved beyond its early-stage roots and is planning its next chapter: expanding its proven Taiwan model into Southeast Asia. With prior experience in the telecom industry, the founders are well-positioned to form strategic partnerships with regional telecom providers.
For Noetiq, the future of smart vehicle connectivity isn’t just about stacking technologies—it’s about creating meaningful interaction between people and machines. Their expansion is more than entering new markets; it’s about advancing a broader vision of intelligent mobility.
Their message to other startups is straightforward: Don’t be afraid to knock on doors. Don’t be afraid to admit you’re still learning. Entrepreneurship isn’t about having all the answers on day one. It’s about asking the right questions and continuing to evolve.
Noetiq’s story is still unfolding. And their journey has only just begun.
